Rukbat hadn't even begun to rise over the edges of the horizon when a stealthy black silhouette stole into the candidate barracks, pausing for just a moment to glance over the sleeping candidates before turning to the basket on the back of the door she'd entered in. Making sure the big, blue bow she'd tied around the scroll was easily visible and ostentatious, she adjusted its position for another moment, her breath coming in short, quiet puffs as she strove to keep the candidates sleeping. Quite sure, Kylian-mine, but we must hurry if we are to make it to the river before the sun rises. Her dragon's voice broke through her thoughts, though, making her move her hand away quickly and focus on retreating as quietly as she had entered. It would be no fun if she was caught leaving the note... Kylian wanted it to be a pleasant surprise for her candidates, and if it wasn't, well... then sharddit. She tried to make things interesting for them.

After one last peek into each of the three rows, Kylian pulled her wherhide jacket tighter about her frame before slipping out the entrance, jogging softly until she exited the cavern system, at which point she vaulted onto Adrianyth's lowered shoulder. /You think they'll find it okay, 'Rian? I tried to make it as obvious as possible./

I'm sure they will, darling. Now, to the river... I'm already itching for a bath.

[/b] Kylian sighed slightly; that was Adrianyth for you. All she thought about was the task at hand, especially if it dealed with her appearance. Still, Kylian loved her emerald beauty, though, and as such she stroked Adrianyth's hide almost reverently as the green surged foward into the air, pumping her wings until they were riding one of the thermals towards the river valley.

Back in the barracks, though, the note sat delicately, it's bright blue bow a delicious, inviting temptation. Who would be the first to get up, to open it? Whoever did would find this letter penned by Kylian herself... yes, Adrianyth did add a few things of her own.

Candidates!

Hopefully you've found this note before it's gotten too late, as you're expected to meet me in the kitchens at noon sharp for your first lesson. This will be sort of a getting-to-know-you session for me as well, so it won't be too bad, I think. We'll all eat our meal, relax, and chat for a bit before I get down to the real material, so I'm expecting to have a good time with you guys, you know, learn a few things about each of you before I introduce you to my dragon, Adrianyth. This clutch looks to be a big one, and as such I'll expect you all to be present and prompt at each of the lessons... If not, I reserve the right to keep you off the Sands. You will listen to me, you will respect me, and if you have no problem with either of those I think things will go along fabulously. So... if you think you've got what it takes to be a Rider, be there! Remember, be on time! I'll be the one wearing the bright green shirt with the crazy black hair.

OOC// In this thread, I'm not going to make it mandatory that you post, because I'm not going to be replying any with Kylian here, but I'd like it if you posted up your candidate maybe finding the letter or his/her reaction to it. If you don't really want to do that, just post OOC saying you've read the post. :] This could be good interaction between the candidates... but it's whatever you all decide.
